Don’t Modify Google AdWords Ads
Posted: November 24, 2003
Do Not Ever Modify An Approved Ad
Once a http://adwords.com ad is approved, it is now syndicated on partner sites (such as AOL).
Whenever you modify an ad, it is considered a new ad.
New ads must be approved by the Google AdWords office.
This means that your ad will no longer show on Google’s partner sites until your ad has been approved again.
It also means that your ads history will be deleted, as it is treated as a new ad.
If you wish to modify your ad, use these simple steps.
1. Create the new add you desire.
2. Wait for it to be approved by the Google AdWord team.
3. Make sure it is being syndicated on partner sites.
4. Delete the old ad in your account.
These simple steps will ensure that your ads are always shown on partner sites, and that you have statistics for older ads. Looking back on the history of old ads can give you ideas for new ones, and compare the numbers of how ads preformed over time.
